Ricky Johnstone, Founder.
Ricky has spent more than a decade in operational data: mining sites, maintenance teams, manufacturing floors and even schools. The kind of work where the data helps people make better decisions.
Johnstone BI exists because too many businesses end up with reports nobody opens, dashboards nobody trusts, and systems nobody can change. We do the tedious, less glamorous work that fixes that, and we do it as a partner, not a vendor.
When Ricky isn't in Power BI, he's trackside cheering on the cars JBI backs, or on the tools at home. Motorsport runs on the same principle as JBI: prepare properly, measure what matters, and don't kid yourself about the result. Data drives high performance.

A few years back, Jess was diagnosed with MS. I won't pretend that wasn't a confronting moment for our family.
But it didn't stop us. If anything, it pushed us forward.
Since then, we've packed up, hitched the caravan, and taken the business on the road. We work with clients on-site, in their workshops, on their mine sites, in the places where the real work happens. We're building the business and building memories at the same time, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
MS is part of our story now. We don't hide from it. We back ourselves, back the research, and back the people working to make life better for everyone dealing with it.
Every May, Jess and I do the May 50K: 50 kilometres across the month to raise money for MS Australia's research and support programs.
