Education

Schools and education providers are often managing administration, compliance, assets, finance and operational reporting through disconnected tools. JBI helps simplify visibility and reduce manual administration.

In Ricky's Words

Why I enjoy working in education

Schools and education providers run genuinely complex operations with very lean administration teams. I have spent a lot of time in that environment and I have a lot of respect for it. I enjoy this work because every hour of manual administration I remove goes straight back into education rather than paperwork, which is a pretty easy result to feel good about.

Common Challenges

What we see most often

  • Manual administration
  • Spreadsheet reporting
  • Finance visibility issues
  • Asset management challenges
  • Compliance reporting burden
  • Disconnected systems
  • Slow reporting for leadership
  • Process inefficiencies

Capability 01

Business Intelligence and Reporting

Education leaders need enrolment, attendance, achievement and finance in one view. Reporting brings them together so decisions about staffing and programs are made on evidence.

Examples

  • Enrolment, retention and attendance trends by cohort and campus
  • Achievement and completion reporting against targets
  • Staffing cost and class utilisation against funding
  • Funding and compliance reporting produced automatically
  • One board and executive pack refreshed on a known cycle

KPIs that matter

KPI reference for education

The measures we most often build for this industry, why each one matters, how it is calculated and the bands we benchmark against.

Capability 02

Data Engineering, Fabric and AI Readiness

Student, learning and finance systems rarely speak to each other. We build the model that lets a cohort be followed end to end.

Examples

  • Join SIS (Student Information System), LMS (Learning Management System), HR and finance data in one governed model
  • Standardise cohort, campus, course and program structures
  • Automate enrolment and attendance history capture
  • Data quality checks on duplicate records and incomplete enrolments
  • Privacy-aware governance over who can see what

Capability 03

Power Platform and Business Applications

Staff time is the scarcest resource. We remove the forms and follow-up that eat into it.

Examples

  • Incident, wellbeing and behaviour capture with escalation
  • Excursion, consent and risk assessment workflow
  • Facilities and IT request logging with status visible
  • Staff professional development and compliance tracking
  • Automated notification of overdue compliance items

Capability 04

Continuous Improvement and Business Process Improvement

Administration grows quietly in education. We map it and give the time back to teaching.

Examples

  • Map the enrolment to attendance to reporting cycle
  • Remove duplicate data entry between systems
  • Standardise reporting cycles and templates across campuses
  • Simplify compliance evidence collection
  • Improvement register measured in administrative hours returned
