Tool: System Support Health Check

How to use this check

A ten-minute check on whether one key system has genuine ongoing support, or is quietly running on inherited knowledge. About 10 minutes. Nothing you enter leaves your browser, and nothing is saved — print or export before you close the page.

1. Ownership

Can you name, in a few seconds, exactly who owns this system?

If that person left tomorrow, is there a clear next owner?

2. Maintenance rhythm

Has this system been reviewed in the last six months outside of fixing a fault?

Are known workarounds or exceptions revisited periodically to check they're still needed?

3. Documentation depth

Does documentation exist explaining why the system is built the way it is, not just what it does?

Could a new person understand the system without needing to ask the original builder?

If several of your key systems score this way, that's usually a data and systems ownership conversation, not an IT ticket. Data Engineering, Fabric and AI Readiness.
